Domaine Santa Duc is located at the foothills of the beautiful Dentelles de Montmirail where olive trees and vines dominate the landscape. The energetic and effervescent, slightly wild owner Yves Gras has the air of a man with complete confidence in his calling. He is consciously respectful towards the natural balance of his vineyard, caring for his vines and maintaining biodiversity. The style here has been very much towards rich, powerful wines with complex aromas and flavours and fine tannins, which tread a fine balance between mature finesse and concentrated extraction, though the last few vintages have seen a distinct reduction in the latter, and a concious nuancing and lightening of style. The Vin de Pays de Vaucluse represents superb value, with ripe, peppery flavours and fine, bright freshness, whilst the Les Plans Rose is a pale, delicate summer delight .

“Yves Gras 22-ha domaine has been one of the AOC leaders in Gigondas for a decade or more now, and the cuvées seem to acquire new chocolatey, earthy depth and intensity with every year that passes.” Andrew Jefford, The New France
